Seemenbach

The ( also ) Seemenbach, locally also Seeme, is an approximately 37 km long left tributary of the Nidder in the western Vogelsberg.

Course

The river rises north of belonging to the city Gedern district of Upper Seemen, below the old castle. It flows through the upper, middle and low - Seemen, then Kefenrod, Büdingen and Büdinger Districts Wolferborn, Rinderbügen and Düdelsheim. Above Düdelsheim there is a flood retention basin. The Seemenbach flows near the Old City Lindheim behind the sports field in the Wetterau in the Nidder.

Fauna

In Büdinger forest you meet on forest clearings and in the Seemenbachaue frequently from laminitis. Also, the black woodpecker, tawny owls and the peregrine falcon live there.

The riparian areas of Seemenbaches are the habitat of Common Snipe, Curlew, Dipper, Blue-winged Demoiselle, Calopteryx splendens and Two Striped source of honor.

In Seemenbach et al come following species of fish: carp, tench, trout, eel and pike, as well as various white fish
