Geography

Geographical location

The district ore mine is located on the Nagoldtalsperre to around 550 m above sea level. NN. The highest district, broom field, is situated at 800 m above sea level. NN. About 90 % of the district is covered by forest. The Black Forest mountains in the municipality of Seewald rise up to 900 m above sea level. NN.

Waters

In the district Urnagold the Nagold arises, in the woods above brooms box spring the rivers Cold, leaves and Poppel, which unite on the boundary Enzkloesterle to Enz.

Community structure

The community Seewald consists of the seven districts Seewald Broom field ( 1084 inhabitants) with Urnagold (22 inhabitants) and Schorrental (16 inhabitants) (west of the Nagoldtalsperre ) ( 1084 inhabitants on 31 December 2013 ), Seewald - Göttelfingen (442 inhabitants) Schorrental (east of Nagold ), Omersbach (north of goiter creek ) and Morgental (1 inhabitants), Seewald - high village (154 inhabitants) and Omersbach (south of goiter creek ), Seewald - ore mine (164 inhabitants), Seewald - Allmandle (54 inhabitants), Seewald - Eisenbach (97 inhabitants) and Seewald - Scherbach (130 inhabitants) with a total of 16 villages, hamlets, prong, courtyards and houses. Seewald is thus clearly identified as an area municipality, with a large district area.

The spatial boundaries of the districts are those of the former municipalities, or in the case of Allmandle and Eisenbach the built spatial location of these places. History

On 1 December 1971, ore pit, Göttelfingen and high village united to form the new municipality of Seewald, broom field came on 1 January 1975 to do so.

Religions

Since the Reformation, Seewald is dominated Protestant. Today, each is a Protestant church in Broom field and Göttelfingen. In broom field there's also a United Methodist and Apostolic congregation, while in Göttelfingen the local mission house of the Evangelical- regional church Liebenzeller group is established. In Besenfeld the Free Church Brethren movement operates a recreation center. The nearest Roman Catholic church located in Baiersbronn.

Nationally known was the Teilort Göttelfingen after the local Protestant minister announced on 25 June 2012, to want converted to the Roman Catholic Church and he was therefore suspended on August 6, 2012 from his pastoral ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Württemberg. Around the same time, he published a book entitled, "Why we are not Catholic? - Food for thought of a Lutheran pastor. "

Seewald is a stronghold of the party spreader Bible Christians (PBC ) that there 5.0% of the second votes ( German average: 0.2 %) in the 2005 federal election received.

Education

Seewald has its own elementary school in the district broom field. The visit secondary schools takes place in Freudenstadt. In broom field there is also a local nursery while there is an evangelical kindergarten in Göttelfingen.

Culture and sights

The district broom field is located at the middle ground, a distance hiking trail that leads past many sights. The whole municipality has a large network of bicycle and hiking trails. In winter, many kilometers of trails are groomed. Broom field is connected via Skifernwanderweg to Kaltenbronn and Freudenstadt. Even more snowshoe trails are signposted, which can be used as a nordic walking tour in the summer. In addition, located in the district of Nagoldtalstausee ore mine, which attracts thousands of visitors especially during the summer months, making it one one of the biggest attractions in the Northern Black Forest. The lake impounds springing in the district Urnagold Nagold River at a length of about three kilometers.
