Segodnya

Segodnja (Russian Сегодня, German Today) is a Ukrainian daily newspaper in tabloid format. The newspaper was founded in 1997 and is published in Russian. Editorial office is Kiev.

With around 700,000 subscribers (as of June 2009) Segodnja is the second largest daily newspaper in the country, according to the tabloid Fakty i kommentarii. Segodnja originally counted among the supporters of President Viktor Yanukovych, but has also developed after the Orange Revolution (2004/2005) a more independent profile. The newspaper is a member of the Ukrainian Association of Press Publishers ( UAPP ).
