SEHA League

Macedonia RK Vardar Skopje (per 1 title )

The SEHA League is a supranational Handball Competition, which was held for the first time in the season 2011 /12. It is organized by Southeastern Handball Association, a specially established to host this League Association, which is supported by the national handball associations of participants. The twelve participating teams the first season came from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovakia, in the second season takes a white Russian team part. Master in the first season was RK Vardar Skopje Macedonia.

Mode

The twelve participants will compete in the main round in a league of twice each against each other. Once a local hall and once away. The top four teams qualify after finishing the round of the play-offs, which were held in the first year in Zagreb. Unusually for handball is the point award in the league. The lead in the SEHA Handball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has thereby the applied also in the domestic league system of the so-called " English Table " adopted in which there are three points for a win and one point for a draw. Some of the participating SEHA League clubs are exempt from the main round of their national leagues and get there one until the beginning of the play-offs or Master rounds. Nevertheless, suffered its first season in the league scheduling problems. Several major round matches were not played. First winner of the competition was RK Vardar Skopje, who defeated city rivals RK Metalurg Skopje in the final in Zagreb.

In the 2012/13 season shall participate only ten teams at the SEHA League. Newcomers are the champion and former European Cup finalists from Bosnia- Herzegovina, RK Sloga Doboj and the Belarusian runner- Meshkov Brest GK.
