Seher Çakır

Seer Cakir ( * 1971 in Istanbul, Turkey ) is a poet and storyteller of Turkish origin, who lives in Austria and works in German language.

Work

Cakir, who has lived in Vienna since 1983, published its first lyric texts in the bilingual ( German / Turkish ) Journal Öneri. In the anthologies The Stranger in Me (1999) and your language is not my language (2002) also published short stories by the author.

The National Library of the German poem in Munich took Cakir on in their publication Selected Works VI ( 2003).

2005 winner of the literary contest " letters between the cultures," publication of the short story in the anthology "Word Forward ", publisher exile, Vienna

2007/2008 scholarship from the Viennese Wortstätten, play: Sevim and Savaş

2008/2009 she was awarded the Austrian State Scholarship for Literature
