Sehma

The Sehma is a right tributary of the Zschopau in Saxony.

Course

It arises from the two source streams Sehma White and Red Sehma.

  • The White Sehma rises in the Ore Mountains on Fichtelbergbahn ( 1,214 meters ) and flows parallel to the Zschopau north.
  • Above Neudorf she takes on the of Kretscham - Rothensehma coming, right opens out Red Sehma that arises from a few kilometers above the confluence of the creek and the Stümpelbaches Lampert.

The Sehma flows into the main direction to the north and flows into the Wiesa Zschopau.

Places

In the valley of the united Sehma the belonging to the municipality Sehmatal elongated places Neudorf, Cranzahl and Sehma extend. In the double town of Annaberg -Buchholz separates the districts of Buchholz ( west ) and Anna Berg ( east ), which were separate towns until 1945. In Sehmatal also Frohnau lies with the known Frohnauer hammer. Above Wiesa opens the Sehma in the Zschopau.
