The Seibu Dome (Japanese西武 ドーム, seibu domU ) is a baseball stadium in the district of Kami- Yamaguchi Tokorozawa, Japan. The stadium, which on 14 April 1979 as " Seibu Lions baseball stadium" (西武ライオンズ 球場, seibu raionzu KYUJO ) was opened, was covered between the seasons 1998 and 1999 and has since been Seibu Dome. It is the home ground of the Saitama Seibu Lions from one of the two professional baseball leagues in Japan, the Pacific League.

Use

The Seibu Dome is primarily used for baseball games. The Seibu Lions of the Pacific League played since the opening in 1979 of their home games in the stadium. For 2005 and 2006 the naming rights were sold to the company Invoice, after which the stadium in Invoice Seibu Dome was renamed. From January 2007 to 2008, was named Goodwill Dome, the contract with the recruiter Goodwill Group was subsequently terminated prematurely and since then the dome resumed using its former name Seibu Dome.

From 2007 to 2009 renovation work was carried out in which reshaped among other parts of the grandstand and scoreboard were renewed.
