Seiko Noda

Seiko Noda (Japanese野 田 圣 子, Noda Seiko, born September 3, 1960 in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture as Seiko Shima (岛 圣 子, Shima Seiko ) ) is a Japanese politician of the Liberal Democratic Party ( LDP), Member of the Shūgiin, the Lower House, and former Minister. It belongs to no faction within the party currently.

Life

Noda was born as the eldest daughter of Nippon Steel 's employees, their wholesale and later adoptive father was a member of the Uichi Shūgiin from Gifu Prefecture and former Minister of Construction. After visiting the Futaba and Jonesville High Schools in Ōta and Jonesville she studied Comparative Cultural Studies at Sophia University. After graduating in 1983, she worked for the Teikoku Hotel (Imperial Hotel). A year later, she was adopted by her grandfather and took the name of Noda.

1986 Noda was elected to the Parliament of Gifu Prefecture. In 1990, she ran as independents for the first time Shūgiin, but was elected as LDP candidate in the first constituency Gifu until the next election in 1993.
