Seiyo, Ehime

Seiyo (Japanese西 予 市-shi) is a city in Ehime Prefecture on the north coast of the island of Shikoku in Japan.

Geography

Seiyo is located southwest of Matsuyama and north of Uwajima.

History

Seiyo was on 1 April 2004 from the Association of Municipalities Akehama (明 浜 町, chō ), Nomura (野村 町, chō ), Shirokawa (城 川 町, chō ) and Uwa (宇 和 町, chō ) of the district Higashiuwa, as well as the community Mikame (三 瓶 町, -chō ) of the district Nishiuwa founded.
