Sejong University

The Sejong University is a private university in the South Korean capital Seoul. The award was instituted as Gyeongseong Inmun Hagwon (Institute of Humanities Gyeongseong ) in 1940 and events were in 1948 for the first time given. In 1954, the university changed its name to Sudo Yeoja Sabeom Daehak ( Educational college for women Sudo ). Since 1979, men are also included as students. In the same year, the university changed its name to its present form, named after Sejong the Great, the fourth king of the Joseon Dynasty, who is considered the father of the Korean alphabet Hangul. In 1987, the University changed its status into a full university under Korean Law on Higher Education. The campus is located in Gunja -dong, Gwangjin -gu, an eastern part of Seoul.
