Seldovia is a place with 306 inhabitants in Kenai Peninsula Borough in the state of Alaska in the United States of America. The site was created by Russian fur traders in the early 19th century, the name comes from the Russian word " Seldevoy ", which refers to the formerly rich herring occurrence in the bay. The village was during the Good Friday Earthquake, a large earthquake in 1964, almost completely destroyed and then rebuilt.

Geography
