Selendi

Selendi is a town and a district of the Turkish province of Manisa. The city is located about 130 kilometers east of the provincial capital of Manisa.

The district lies to the east of the province. It is bordered to the south by Kula, in the west and north by Demirci and on the east by the provinces of Kutahya and Usak. Through the county seat of river Selendi Çayı, the west leads further into the Gediz flows. In the north of the circle of 1511 meter high volcano Yağcı Dagi is located.

Near the city probably was the ancient city Silandos.
