Seleucus of Seleucia

Seleucus of Seleucia (c. 190 BC, also sometimes: Seleucus of Babylon) was a Greek astronomer of the 2nd century BC. From him a scripture is known in which he had developed the heliocentric world view that Aristarchus of Samos, defended. In the same work there is also a discussion of the tides, which, as he rightly pointed out, should be caused by the moon.
