Was the debut album Selig still influenced by rock with grunge influences and hippie flair, the album was still much darker here. Selig described their style at the time as "Hippie Metal". The music was harder and less trendy, but a bit more experimental than on the debut. Together with the improvised in the studio texts resulted in the impression of drogeninduziertem, hard rock. With the last album before the preliminary separation Blender Selig left these paths. The rock has been left out for long stretches, it held instead amplified pop elements moving into the sound, experimenting also was with electronics, loops and beats. Critics applies Blender as the best work of the band, but commercial success did not come.
