Selwyn College (Cambridge)

The Selwyn College is a college of the University of Cambridge. It was founded in 1882 and after the first Anglican Bishop of New Zealand, George Augustus Selwyn, named. It is located in the western part of Cambridge and is located directly on the Sidgwick Site. The college itself was built in the Victorian style and is known for its choir. Current Master ( rector ) is the well known Japanologieprofessor Richard Bowring.

Financially belongs to the poorer Selwyn College in Cambridge, while academically belongs in the top third of the colleges.
