Semice

Semice ( German Semitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers south-east of Lysa nad Labem and belongs to fulltext your real estates.

Geography

Semice is located on the left bank of the Elbe river at the foot of the hill Semická Hůra (231 m ) on the East Bohemian panel. To the west rises the Přerovská Hůra (236 m ) north-west lies the nature reserve of VRT. To the east lie the remains of the castle Mydlovar and the menhir of Kersko. In the southeast of the Natural Park extends Kersko.

Neighboring towns are Ostra in the north, Šnepov in the northeast, Hradištko in the east, in the southeast Kersko, Velenka and Stary Vestec in the south, Mochov the southwest, Přerov nad Labem and Nový Přerov in the west and Tři Chaloupky and Litol in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village took place in 1352. Originally, the village of a few houses, grouped around a small church. In Semice were two parties, the extinct in the 15th century.

After the abolition of patrimonial Semice formed in 1850 a municipality in the district Český Brod. After the First World War, the Kerskowald became a popular recreation area of Prague's upper class. In the forest a cottage settlement arose. Since 1961, the church belongs to fulltext your real estates.
