Sena District

Amphoe Sena ( Thai: อำเภอ เสนา ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the Ayutthaya Province in central Thailand.

Geography

The neighboring Amphoe are from clockwise from the north: Phak Hai, Ban Bang, Bang Sai ( บางไทร ), Lat Bua Luang and Bang Sai ( บางซ้าย ).

In the center of the main town Sena is a clock tower, displaying the time on all four sides. In the local Wat is held every Tuesday evening instead of a temple fair, hawking on the countless seller a variety of goods.

Management

Amphoe Sena is divided into 17 subdistricts ( tambon), which in turn in 132 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

There are five small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Sena Mueang ( Thai: เทศบาล เมือง เสนา ) consisting of the whole tambon Sena
  • Chao Chet ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล เจ้า เจ็ด ), consisting of parts of the tambon Ban Chao Chet and Thaeo and the whole tambon Chao sadet
  • Hua Wiang ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หัว เวียง ), consisting of parts of the tambon Hua Wiang and the whole tambon Ban Krathum
  • Bang Nom Kho ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บาง นม โค ) consisting of parts of the tambon Bang Nom Kho,
  • Sam Ko ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล สาม กอ ) consisting of the whole tambon Sam Ko.

In addition, there are nine - Tambon administrative organizations ( " Tambon Administrative Organizations" - TAO, Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ) in the district.

Miscellaneous

The secondary Senaprasit leads between Christmas and New Year by regular sports days. On this occasion, the students dress in a variety of Thai tradition robes and march across the schoolyard. From the city center eventually there will be a procession to the school. For three days, the students in the different sports to compete against each other.
