Senad Tiganj

Senad Tiganj ( born August 28, 1975 in Ljubljana) is a Slovenian football player.

Tiganj was a member of his country's squad for the Soccer World Cup 2002, but it was used only once: in the last group match against Paraguay, but the entire Slovenia had already been decided.

During the winter break of 2004/ 05, the center forward Tiganj, Slovan Ljubljana joined the German second division side FC Rot -Weiß Erfurt.

After the game, his team against SpVgg Unterhaching, the Erfurt had won on 6 April 2005 2-0 Tiganj was convicted of taking the banned substance fenoterol. Tiganj did not deny taking this substance. According to him, however, he had his son the day before the game presented merely taking an asthma agent.

Because of the doping case Tiganj was retroactively blocked by the sports court of the DFB on 4 May 2005 of 19 April on for ten weeks. The game on April 6, was considered for Unterhaching. With the consequent loss of three points suffered Rot-Weiß Erfurt a major setback in a relegation battle.

Senad Tiganj changed in June 2005 to the second division side SV Wacker Burghausen and should enhance the storm in the coming season there. The local coach Markus Schupp, however, no longer planned with him. Senad Tiganj then switched to the winter break 05/ 06 at that division side SSV Jahn Regensburg. Here he was, however, less by performance, but off the court. He got into a team fight that his former colleague Christian Alder has provoked. Alder said to have become palpable with Tiganj after a game in the gangway, as he is the highest paid player in the squad was, in the words Alders, but bring no benefit. Tiganjs contract was not renewed.

Tiganj then returned back to his homeland and played from August 4, 2006 the Slovenian club NK Drava. He now plays in the Austrian second division side SV Stadtwerke Kapfenberg.
