Senangkhanikhom District

Amphoe Senangkhanikhom ( Thai: อำเภอ เสนางคนิคม ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the north of the province of Amnat Charoen. The Amnat Charoen province is located in the eastern part of the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Adjacent Amphoe are counted from the East: the Amphoe Mueang Amnat Charoen Chanuman and Amnat Charoen Province, Amphoe Thai Charoen and as well as the Thai Charoen Province Yasothon.

History

Senangkhanikhom was on 15 December 1975 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the five Tambon Senangkhanikhom, Rai Si Suk, Phon Thong, Nong Hai and Na Wiang Amphoe Mueang today were separated from Amnat Charoen. On April 1, 1983 Senangkhanikhom was promoted to Amphoe.

In 1993 Senangkhanikhom was one of the counties that were separated from Ubon Ratchathani to create the new Amnat Charoen Province.

Management

Amphoe Senangkhanikhom is ( tambon) divided into six municipalities, the further into 58 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

Senangkhanikhom itself ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล เสนางคนิคม ) is a small town ( thesaban tambon) in a circle, it covers parts of tambon Senangkhanikhom.

There are also six administrative organizations ( " Tambon Administrative Organizations" - TAO, Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ).
