Senegal women's national football team
The Senegalese national football team of women representing Senegal in international women's football. The national reports to the Senegalese Football Federation and is trained by Bassouaré Diaby.
The team of Senegal made her international debut in 2002 as part of qualifying for the African Cup of women in 2002, but could not qualify. In the following years, failed to qualify. It was only on 16 June 2012, the team against Morocco was the first time the finals of the African Cup of Nations. For this, however, a penalty shoot-out was necessary after two goalless draw. The team then lost the first two group games against the Democratic Republic of Congo and South Africa only just 0-1, but had to put up against hosts Equatorial Guinea a 0-5 defeat and resigned as a group from Last.
In the FIFA world rankings, the team shuttled between rank 75 (June 2009) and rank 136 (December 2011 ).
