Seniority

Seniority (Latin senior " the Elder " ) referred to in common parlance, the principle of the primacy of persons with advanced age, or - in the figurative sense, not entirely correct - of persons belonging more to a particular group. The latter is more aptly referred to as the principle of seniority.

In labor seniority refers to the preference based on age for promotion or pay. It stands in contrast to seniority, which is based on seniority. An example of the seniority were the " stages of life " in the BAT. The power-independent betterment based on age is also known as calcification allowance popularly and criticized in the political debate than hinder performance.

In the European trademark seniority refers to the priority of a more established national brand in front of a later registered for the internal market of the European Community CTM. This priority applies only to the country in which the national brand is longer than the CTM.
