Seodaemun District
Seodaemun -gu is a municipality in the north-west of Seoul. It is bordered to the northwest by Eunpyeong -gu, on the northeast by Jongno- gu, on the southeast by Jung-gu and Mapo -gu in the south. The partner municipality since 3 October 2003 Sumida, Tokyo.
The word Seodaemun is composed of three syllables Seo = West, Dae = large and Mun = door. Seodaemun has been always used as a west gate.
In Seodaemun -gu is the infamous Seodaemun Prison, have been detained in the 1908-1945 Korean resistance fighters under Japanese rule and often tortured to death and executed.
Sinchon ( 신촌 )
Sinchon is a very popular destination as it is between four universities in the middle. In the evening many of the students come to dinner and then to drink after Sinchon.
