Sepp Ketterer

Sepp Ketterer; born Joseph Ketterer ( born February 11, 1899 in Altglashuetten, today part of the municipality Feldberg, Baden- Württemberg, † January 11, 1991 in Vienna ) was a German cinematographer.

Life

Sepp Ketterer was trained photographically by the population and trade school. He was an active skier and photographer. From 1930 he served as a camera assistant and subordinate cameraman. As such, he participated, among others, Leni Riefenstahl's Olympia.

After the war, Ketterer worked as director of photography. He provided the pictures especially of numerous home movies and comedies. Among them was the with an abundance of nature shots studded home film classic The forester from Silverwood.
