Septicflesh

Septicflesh (formerly known as Septic Flesh) is a band from Athens, Greece. Stylistically, it combines technical death metal with atmospheric gothic metal elements.

Band History

The band was founded in March 1990 and published in 1991, the demo Forgotten Path, which in December of the same year the EP Temple of the Lost Race followed. A promo cassette, the next two tracks of the EP, the piece Morpheus ( The Dream Lord ) was led to a contract with Holy Records.

In April 1994, the band recorded their first album Mystic Places of Dawn in the Storm studio with Magus Wampyr Daoloth of Necromantia as co-producers on. The Items Return to Carthage was also published on the Nuclear Blast compilation Death Is Only the Beginning III. In June 1995 Esoptron and appeared in May 1997 Ophidian Wheel, which (as well as later the album A Fallen Temple ) in the practice studio with Lambros Sfyris as co-producers emerged.

After the band Natalie Rassoulis and neoclassical influences recorded, was their new theatrical pieces and technical. In September 1998 the first video clip of the band, The Eldest Cosmonaut appeared on the limited publication The Eldest Cosmonaut (DNA choir Ozone ), which consisted of a video cassette and a four- track CD.

In June 1999, was included in the Fredman Studios with producer Fredrik Nordstrom Revolution DNA, which was released in October 1999. To further her career, the band worked with Harvest Management to find a new record company. 2001 wrote Septic Flesh Hammerheart Records and took in the summer of 2002 in the Fredman studios Sumerian Daemons. On this album are again older influences heard. 2003 Septic Flesh disbanded, but was founded in 2007 under the name Septicflesh new. In the same year, the band began work on the sixth album, which was released in 2008 under the title Communion on Season of Mist.
