Septum pellucidum

As the septum pellucidum (Latin: translucent partition ) from an existing glial anatomical structure is referred to within the brain. It lies in the middle of the brain between the two hemispheres of the brain, below the bar and stretched like a membrane between beams and fornix. The septum pellucidum forms part of the medial wall of the anterior horn of the lateral ventricles and structurally belongs to the limbic system.

The anatomical cavity between left and right leaf of the septum pellucidum is called the cavum septum pellucidum.
