Sequenced Packet Exchange

The Protocol Sequenced Packet Exchange ( SPX) is to be compared with the TCP. It is just like TCP is a connection-oriented network protocol. That is, it ensures a safe arrival of data packets at the receiver. It monitors the data sent and calls for an acknowledgment from the receiver to. It checks whether a data packet has arrived successfully at the receiver and it is confirmed in this case. Using a checksum, it checks whether the data has arrived undamaged., The data at the receiver is not reached or if the data is defective, SPX repeats the transmission of the data packet until a successful transmission is present.
