General

Seramas are a tame and relatively quiet bantam breed, the taps have not been a major voice volume. Since the nature much more sensitive to cold and wet responding than most other chicken breeds, these animals are only suitable subject for yearly free range. A pure flat attitude, as practiced in some places, but the needs of the animals comes after well in any way. The life expectancy is 7-8 years all with good care.

Breeding

With about 15 weeks Seramahennen are gender and put maturity. Seramas place throughout the year with a professional, coordinated weatherproof housing, a clutch consists of an average of 4-8 eggs. Serama chicken eggs are around the 5-6 times smaller than regular chicken eggs.

The so far only valid breed standard was established in the USA, by the World Serama Federation. The breeding focus here is primarily on posture, size and very trusting nature of the animals. Their color, however, is largely beside the point, but this can change rapidly with the introduction of a European standard itself.

In Europe, this breed has been recognized since 2009, paints strokes was supplemented in 2010.
