The Serbian Tricolour Hound (former Yugoslavian Tricolour Hound ) is recognized by the FCI breed from Serbia (No. 229, Gr. 6, sec 1.2).

Origin and History

The Serbian Tricolour Hound has the same origin as the other running dogs of the Balkans. 1946 was discussed whether the Serbian Tricolour Hound is only a variety of Serbian hound or a separate breed. The Serbian Tricolour Hound was finally accepted on 25 July 1961 by the FCI as a race.

Description

The Serbian Tricolour Hound is medium sized (up to 55 cm) and of strong physique.

He has short, abundant and shiny hair. The base color of the hair is a rich red in color black forms a mantle or saddle and reaches out to the head. In addition, two black markings are at the temples. The White forms a whole or partial collar and a blaze.

The ears of the Three Colored Serbian hound are high, medium and fit closely to the cheeks.

Character

The Serbian Tricolour Hound has a friendly nature. He is full of temperament, loyal, reliable and very persistent.
