Sergei Davydov (figure skater)

Sergei Davydov (Russian: Сергей Давыдов, Belarusian Сяргей Давыдаў / Syarhey Dawydau; born March 2, 1979 in Rostov-on- Don ) is a former Russian figure skater, who started in a single run for Russia and Belarus.

Until 1999 Davydov appeared to Russia, for which he won the 1998 silver medal at the Junior World Championship. Since 2000, he then started for Belarus. From 2001 to 2008 he was the Belarusian champions. His best result at the World Championships, he scored 2003 rank 7 At the European Championships in 2007, he missed the bronze medal by 0.07 points from Kevin van der Perren. There he reached 204.78 points his personal best in the new points system. Twice Davydov took part in the Olympic Games. In Salt Lake City in 2002, he finished the 21th Place and in Turin four years later the 15th Place. He was trained by Jelena Tschaikowskaja and Vladimir Kotin. After the 2007/ 08 season, he finished his career and began working as a coach.
