Sergei Enwerowitsch Tschoban

Sergei Tchoban (originally Russian Сергей Энверович Чобан / Sergei Enwerowitsch Tschoban, scientific transliteration Sergei Ėnverovič Čoban; born October 9, 1962 in Leningrad ) is a German architect of Russian descent.

Life

Sergei Tchoban was in Leningrad, Soviet Union (now Saint Petersburg, Russia) born. From 1973 to 1980 he attended the high school branch of the Academy of Arts of the USSR in Leningrad and graduated in 1986 to study architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts from. He then worked as an independent architect until he an invitation from the Association of German Architects ( BDA) was the early nineties and moved to Hamburg. He then worked as an employee in Nietzsche, Prasch, Sigl Architects, was founded in 1995 by partners nps & Partner and over the Berlin office.

In 2006 he founded the Moscow Tchoban offices SPEECH with a focus on planning in Russia and the CIS. In 2009, he created the Tchoban Foundation - Museum of Architecture drawing, whose seat was opened in Berlin in 2013 according to their own plans. The museum, to the 21st century Tchoban combines passion for drawing and for the architecture, with its large collection of architectural drawings from the 17th has to revive the target, the public interest in the genre through exhibitions and events, and promote talent. Since 1992 Tchoban is a member of the American Society of Architectural Illustrators.

Projects

Tchoban is busy since its Berlin office taking over the lead in the planning of major projects. He is responsible for several projects in Berlin and St. Petersburg. He became better known from 2004 with the design of the highest skyscraper planned in Europe, the Federation Complex in Moscow, planned partnership with the Hamburg architect Peter P. Schweger. 2010 and 2012 Tchoban curated the exhibitions of the Russian pavilion at the 12th and 13th Venice Architecture Biennale.
