Sergey Maslennikov
Sergei Maslennikov Jewgenjewitsch (Russian: Сергей Евгеньевич Масленников, born April 18, 1982 in Ufa ) is a Russian Nordic combined.
Maslennikov started in 1991 for the first time in a national competition. In January 2002 he made his international debut in B- World Cup Nordic Combined. At the Junior World Cup 2002 in Schonach he reached the 11th Place and in the Gundersen 37th with the team. Also at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2003 in Val di Fiemme he could reach no place in the top forty in the individual competitions. On November 30, 2003 he gave his debut in Kuusamo in the Nordic Combined World Cup. However, He was also the first competitions and unsuccessfully launched so on in B- World Cup. It was not until the 2004/05 season he reached the points in the first competitions. He finished the season in 24th place in the overall World Cup standings. In the Sprint Cup, he reached the 28th place. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 2005, he could not reach top places again. In the Winter Universiade in Innsbruck in 2005, he won silver in the sprint. At the Olympic Winter Games in Turin in 2006 he reached the Gundersen surprisingly the 10th Place. In the sprint, he was ranked 43rd with the team he came on the 9th Place. A year later he won the gold medal with the team at the Winter Universiade in 2007 in Pragelato. In the sprint, he just missed the medals in fourth place. A short time later he arrived at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2007 in Sapporo in the sprint the 21th Place and in the Gundersen 33rd place. In the World Cup he rarely made the jump into the points. So he could not repeat his finish of the season 2004/ 05. Also in the Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec he could reach no place in the top twenty in the individual competitions. In team competition, the team reached the 10th place. At the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver in 2010, he remained unsuccessful again with a 36th place in the individual of the large hill and a 43rd place in the individual on the normal hill.
Maslennikov is married and has one child.
