Sergey Rodionov

Sergei Rodionov Jurjewitsch (Russian: Сергей Юрьевич Родионов; born September 3, 1962 in Moscow ) is a retired Soviet football player and current football coach.

Rodionov almost spent his entire playing career as a football player at Spartak Moscow. Already at the age of 14 he joined the football school of this Association and 1979-1990 was the prolific striker in the first team this team. In the years 1979, 1987 and 1989, he was a Soviet champion with Spartak. Overall, he came to 279 inserts in the top Soviet league in which he scored 119 goals. In the 1989 season Rodionov was also top scorer in the Soviet Wysschaja league.

For the Soviet national Rodionov played between 1980 and 1990 a total of 37 times and scored eight goals. In 1982 he took part in the World Championships in Spain and in 1986 at the World Cup in Mexico.

In 1990, Rodionov joined Red Star Paris in France; for this club he played 57 games over three seasons, scoring 9 goals. In 1993 he returned to Russia to Spartak Moscow. In the 1994 season he was with Spartak Russian champion and cup winner. In 1995 he ended his active career.

Since 1996, Sergei Rodionov has held various positions on the coaching staff of Spartak Moscow.
