Sergey Rozhkov

Sergei Rozhkov Leonidovich (Russian: Сергей Леонидович Рожков, scientific transliteration Sergei Leonidovič Rožkov; * 1 April 1972 in Murmansk, Russia ) is a retired Russian biathlete.

Life

Sergei Rozhkov began in 1986 with the sport of biathlon. With the Russian season he won some medals at the world championships. In single him get a fourth place in 1997 and 2001 at the World Championships in 2003 in pursuit. Sergei Rozhkov gained four World Cup victories in his career. The very popular with journalists and fans athletes since 2006 Team spokesman of the Russian national biathlon team. After the disappointing verlaufenen for him Russian Championship 2009 Rozhkov announced his resignation. In August 2009, he assumed the position of manager for the Russian junior team.

Rozhkov is married, has two children and lives with his family in Moscow.
