Sergei Schelmenko (Russian: Сергей Шельменко; scientific transliteration Sergei Šel'menko; Ukrainian Сергій Шельменко; scientific transliteration Serhiy Šel'menko; born April 5, 1983 in Zaporizhia, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union ) is a former Ukrainian, Russian handball player since 2012, who plays for HC Dinamo Minsk. From 2006 to 2009 he played in the Handball - Bundesliga at the Rhein- Neckar Löwen. His game position in the backcourt attack is right.

The professional handball player was also a member of the Ukrainian national handball team of men and had 50 caps for the Ukraine dispute. In the European Handball Championship 2012, he first appeared on the Russian men's national handball team, scoring 9 goals in 3 games.

The left-hander has a body length of 1.96 m and weighs 99 kg. He is married and has one child.
