Sergi Roberto Carnicer ( born February 7, 1992, Reus, Tarragona Province ) is a Spanish football player. The midfielder plays for FC Barcelona.

Due to its wide applicability in the offense as well as his good technique, speed and game intelligence, he is seen in Barça environment already as a possible successor of Luis Enrique.

Association

Roberto played for Gimnàstic de Tarragona to 2006 and for his hometown club FC Reus. He was admitted at the age of 14 years in the youth academy of FC Barcelona. In the B- youth he was in the 2008 / 09 season, the best scorer of his team and got into the next season in the A- youth, but was also used regularly in the reserve team of FC Barcelona. The then 17 -year-old played in 22 games this season for Barcelona B and rose with the team at the end of the season in the Segunda División. Roberto won all four youth teams, where he was employed, the particular Spanish Junior Championship.

End of June 2010 extended Roberto together with his longtime teammate Sergi Gómez, with whom he plays since 2006 in a team, his contract until 2012.

Sergi Roberto regularly plays for the junior national teams of Spain. With the Spanish U- 17 team, he participated in the 2009 World Cup in Nigeria in part.
