Sergio Llull

Sergio Llull Meliá (born 15 November 1987 in Mahon, Menorca), is a Spanish professional basketball player in the service of Real Madrid. Llull is a so-called combo guard who to score thanks to his athleticism, speed and ability not only on the position of point guard, but also can be used effectively the Shooting Guards.

Career

The 1.92 meter tall Sergio Llull began his career in his hometown, in the youth of CB La Salle Mahon. Sergio Llull already played as a junior for his country and was the U-18 European Championship win in 2004. On 18 August 2009 he made his debut in a friendly match against Cuba in the Spanish national team. At the European Championships in Poland in 2009 he won the gold medal with Spain. The following year he participated with the national team at the FIBA World Championship in Turkey, the Iberians occupied the sixth place. At Euro 2011, he was again part of the Spanish banns and could with his team defend the title successfully. Llull bestrtitt Spain with the 2012 Olympic Games in London, where he failed with his team until the final on the U.S. team.
