Sergius Golowin

Sergius Golovin ( born January 31, 1930 in Prague, † July 17, 2006 in Bern ) was a Swiss author, mythologist and writer.

Life

Sergius Golovin came in 1930 in Prague to the world. In 1933 his mother, the poetess Alla von Steiger, along with her son back to Switzerland; the father, a Russian sculptor who lived, separated from the family in Paris. After leaving school, Sergius Golovin worked as a library assistant at the Bern City and University Library. He was involved in the youth movement. Between 1957 and 1968 he worked as an archivist in Burgdorf. Later Golovin worked as a freelance writer near Bern. From 1971 to 1981 he sat as a parliament of the country ring of Independents ( LdU ), especially for the youth culture and for environmental concerns. As a result, a parliamentary proposal of Sergius Golovin recognized the Canton of Bern 1975, the minority rights of the travelers on their own culture. Many of his books address the Travellers. He was also active as a longtime board member of the Berne founded in 1975 Association of Travellers, the umbrella organization of the Swiss Jenischen.

Sergius Golovin was the author of numerous books and articles about to folkloric issues and the esoteric. For his contributions to folklore and to people on the margins of society, he received the Prize of the Swiss Schiller Foundation in 1974. Exclusive posts by Golovin published Urban Gwerder in his journal Hotcha ( 1968-1971 ).

Sergius Golovin was near time witnessed many celebrities and events: He accompanied Timothy Leary when he freed from prison, fled into exile in Switzerland, was a friend of Friedrich Dürrenmatt and Hans Carl Artmann. Golovin is also of H.R. In 1973 Sergius Golovin took with the " cosmic couriers " the LP Lord Krishna from Goloka on. The recording is characterized by improvised electronic sounds with voice recordings by Sergius Golovin. Musically, he was supported by the musicians Klaus Schulze, Walter West Rupp, Bernd Witthüser, Jerry Berker, Jürgen Dollase and Jörg Mierke. In 1978 he participated in the "Fiesta Monte Verità " commemorating Gusto grasses in the mountains of Ascona part where he performed as a speaker.
