Serindia

The word Serindien (English Serindia - marked by the explorer Aurel Stein ) is from Seres (China ) and India composite term and refers to the part of Asia, also known as Xinjiang ( Sinkiang ), Chinese Turkestan, Kashgaria, Chinese- is known or Central Asia under several other names.

The art of this region is known as serindische art (see Gandhara ).
