Serse Coppi

Serse Coppi ( born March 19, 1923 in Castellania; † 29 July 1951 in Turin ) was an Italian cyclist.

Serse Coppi was the younger brother of the Italian cycling hero Fausto Coppi. His professional career began in 1946 in the Italian team Bianchi; there he went with his brother. His greatest success was arguably the triumph at Paris- Roubaix in 1949. This victory, however, was diminished by the fact that he had to share him with the Frenchman André Mahé. In 1951 he fell in the Piedmont Tour and suffered fatal injuries.
