Service structure

A supply tower is a construction of a rocket on the launch pad through which this is being refueled and supplied to the start with power. He is distinguished from the launch tower. For manned rockets supply tower also allows the astronauts via a built-in lift and a retractable bridge access to the space ship. In addition, the supply tower also allows access for the purpose of maintenance of the rocket. Shortly before the launch of the rocket all cable connections are released and swung all leading to the rocket catwalks and pipe bridges. In contrast to a launch tower a utility tower is not used to guide the missile in the launch phase.
