Seti II

Seti II was the sixth king of ancient Egypt (Pharaoh) of the 19th Dynasty ( New Kingdom ). If he is to be regarded as the direct successor of Merenptah, he would have ruled 1204-1198 BC. In an independent government of Amenmesse the reign would only 1200-1198 BC

Origin and family

The lineage of Seti II is unclear. His Great Royal Wife was Tausert. His successor Siptah was probably his son of a Syrian concubine named Sutiraja.

Reign

The government Seti II is inextricably linked with the rule of Amenmesse. The length of his reign duration is also controversial. Death

Seti II died between the 28th and 19th Achet IV Peret I seem to Pi -Ramesses. In the seventh year of Queen Tausert he was in her grave ( KV14 ) and reburied after the accession to power of the Sethnacht in the original grave ( KV15 ) reburied.
