Settle

Settle is a town with 2400 inhabitants (2001) in North Yorkshire, England. Historically Settle belonged to the West Riding of Yorkshire, it is on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales.

It is believed that Settle is a foundation of fishing in the 7th century, for the name of the city is to mean in their language "settlement ". Henry III. granted in 1248 Henry de Percy market rights for the place. Since then, still finds a market on Tuesday of each week in the city instead.
