Seuzach

Seuzach (Swiss German Söizi [ sœi̯t͡si ] ) is a municipality in the district of Winterthur in the canton of Zurich in Switzerland. The community is a suburban community of the city of Winterthur.

The municipality Seuzach includes the two villages of Upper and Unterohringen.

The coat of arms was adopted by the Home Stone of the family coat of arms to the 15th Century resident here Ritter. Your headquarters was located on a hill north of the village.

Geography

The community Seuzach is a few kilometers north of the city of Winterthur and is surrounded by the municipality of Winterthur in half.

From the municipality is almost 25% forest area and water area, over 44 % are used for agriculture; nearly 10% are traffic area and over a fifth is overbuilt.

The community Seuzach bordered to the northwest by Hettlingen, on the north by Dägerlen, on the northeast by Dinhard and the east, south and south-west to the city of Winterthur.

Policy

The SVP has 39.0 %, the SP 18.8%, FDP 20.2%, Greens 4.8%, the CVP 4.7%, and the EPP 6.7% of the vote. Mayor is Christian Moss (as of 2013).

History

Seuzach was first mentioned in 1263.

Traffic

Seuzach is located on the S- Bahn line S 12 Brugg - Zurich HB - Winterthur HB - Seuzach / lakes and is every hour directly with Zurich and 30 minutes each added via S 29 Winterthur HB - also connected to Zurich Stein am Rhein on Winterthur. On weekends Seuzach is also serviced by the network of the night Zurich Transport Network.

January 31, 2012 7016 people lived in Seuzach. The share of Swiss citizens was around 88 percent.
