Severin Cornet
Séverin Cornet (* 1530 in Valenciennes, † March 1582 in Antwerp ) was a Franco- Flemish singer, conductor and composer.
After his training in Naples, he got a job as a singer in Antwerp, where he served as Kapellmeister from 1572. A year before his death he lost this position, an application failed as bandmaster of the Archduke in Innsbruck.
He created a number of vocal works, including polyphonic madrigals and French chansons, with his training in Italy in all his compositions remained audible.
