Sevier County (Arkansas)

The Sevier County is a county located in the U.S. state of Arkansas. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is De Queen. The county is one of the Dry counties, which means that the sale of alcohol is restricted or prohibited.

The Sevier County was formed on October 17, 1828 from parts of Hempstead County and Miller County. It was named after Ambrose Hundley Sevier (1801-1848), a member of the Territorial Congress and later became one of the first two U.S. - Senators from Arkansas.

Demographic data
