Seydou Diarra

Seydou Diarra Elimane ( born November 23, 1933 Katiola ) is a former Prime Minister of Côte d'Ivoire.

Diarra was from May to October 2000, Robert Guei Prime Minister. He was appointed under an agreement to end the civil war (2002-2003) in February 2003 as Prime Minister of the transitional government, as it was seen as a neutral person. Many supporters of President Laurent Gbagbo accused him, however, to be had not been rigorous enough against the rebels after they had rejected an agreed disarmament and demanded his dismissal in October 2004.

On 5 December 2005 announced negotiators of the African Union that Diarra would be replaced from December 7, by Charles Konan Banny.
