Seyhan Dam

The Seyhan Dam is located north of the southern Turkish city of Adana and serves the power generation, irrigation and flood control. It was built from 1953 to 1956 and was formed by embankments. During storage of the Seyhan River, the ancient city of Augusta was flooded.
