Seyssinet-Pariset

Seyssinet -Pariset is a commune in the Rhône -Alpes in Isere department with 12,227 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011). The municipality is part of the Canton of Fontaine- Seyssinet in the district of Grenoble. The inhabitants are called Seyssinettoises.

Geography

Seyssinet -Pariset lies west of Grenoble on the west bank of the River Drac. It is surrounded by the neighboring communities Fontaine in the north, in the east of Grenoble, Seyssins in the south, Saint- Nizier -du- Mocherotte in the West.

History

The municipality was formed in 1926 from the previously independent municipalities Seyssinet Pariset.
