Seyyed Mohammad Nasser Taghavi

Seyed Mohammad Nasser Taghavi (born 1970 ) is an Islamic theologian and philosopher.

After the Abitur, he studied at the University of Tehran and Qom Theological College in theology. In the Department of Political Science, he first obtained his degree with a thesis on the usefulness in the political- Islamic thought and a doctorate then on " Democratic liberalism and religious sovereignty of the people ". While studying theology in Qom, he acquired not only in the fields of law (fiqh ) and principles ( usul ) a higher degree, but studied at the same time more than ten years of philosophy and Islamic mysticism.

Among his publications are the most important rule and expediency, politics in quotes: essays on philosophy and political thought, concerns over the "global village", a collection of poems entitled badeye Asrar and the excellent research works as the best religion and democratic foundations and durability of political thought in Iran.

After completing his studies he was a member of scientific committees. Since early 2004 he has lived in Germany, where it acts as deputy head of the Islamic Centre Hamburg.
