SG Dynamo Hohenschönhausen

The SG Dynamo Hohenschonhausen was a German sports club from Berlin, whose football section existed from 1952 to 1966.

Football section

Dynamo Hohenschonhausen was founded in 1952 under the name SG Dynamo Berlin, and took over the place of the League SG People's Police previously resolved Potsdam. The team took part in the DDR -Liga for the time being two seasons. By 1954 was displacement of SG Dynamo Dresden to Berlin, from which the SC Dynamo Berlin arose, existed for a short time two clubs with the name Dynamo Berlin. Firstly, the newly founded GDR Oberliga SC Dynamo Berlin which had taken the place Oberliga Dresden, as well as the older Berlin Dynamo team SG Dynamo Berlin that was staying in the Berlin district league.

The district was renamed division side out and played from now on as Dynamo Berlin -Mitte. 1956 succeeded Dynamo Berlin -Mitte in front of the tied SG Adlershof promotion to the third class II DDR -Liga. For the new season merged Dynamo Berlin -Mitte in 1957 with the second team of the SC Dynamo Berlin to SG Dynamo Hohenschonhausen. While Dynamo Hohenschonhausen acted as an independent club, was in practice, however, a branch of the SC Dynamo. It played in Hohenschonhausen largely talents and discarded older players of Dynamo Berlin.

1959 increased the Berlin together with Cottbus forward again in the GDR league. In the following years Hohenschonhausen could establish to 1966 in the league, with a third rank was achieved in the season 1961/62. With the disentanglement of the football section at SC Dynamo Berlin and the subsequent establishment of the BFC Dynamo soccer Department of Dynamo Hohenschonhausen was dissolved. The Dynamo Hohenschonhausen occurred from 1966 onwards as a second team of the newly founded BFC.
